Our IT Department is searching for a PC/LAN Specialist to join the team. This is a technical staff position responsible for supporting automated information systems, related programming, and providing computer technical support. Work involves researching information needs, installing and testing new computer programs, performing network administrative tasks and computer and user support. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Deputy Director of Information Technology.

Qualifications 

This position requires an Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, three to five years experience supporting computer hardware and software, or equivalent combination of closely related education and experience that provides equivalent necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities.

Salary

The starting salary for this position is $26.48 hourly with the ability to earn up to $37.07 hourly, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country. Employees, spouses, and dependents over the age of 12 months who are covered on the City’s medical plan are eligible to use the Connecting Care Clinic (CCC). The CCC provides primary and acute care services and physical therapy at no cost to the patient.
