The Appleton Public Library is seeking a high energy and creative individual comfortable with new technologies, rapid changes, and multitasking to work in our Children’s department.

The Library Assistant – Children’s (Sub) is a non-benefited position. Work involves providing reference and readers advisory to children and families in a high energy Children’s Department. Work also involves instructing the public in electronic and print resources as well as providing Children’s programming support from desk. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Children's Services supervisor. 

Hours

This position will work an average of 10 hours per week including evenings and weekends. This position primarily works weekend shifts with weekdays as needed to fill in.

Qualifications 

This position requires a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or a combination of applicable education, experience and training. Experience working with children is preferred.

Salary

The hiring salary range for this position is $24.07 to $28.88 hourly.
